Whole Foods Announces Opening Date For 365 Store In Fort Greene
FORT GREENE – A year after announcing it will debut the East Coast’s first outpost of Whole Foods Market 365 in Fort Greene, the supermarket chain revealed today that the official opening date of its value brand store will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
The 40,000-square-foot space will be located in Two Tree’s 300 Ashland development, adjacent to the brand new Apple Store that opened this past weekend. The store’s official address will be 292 Ashland Place. This location will be the seventh Whole Foods Market 365 store in the country.
Whole Foods Market 365 stores offer a variety of quality products in a “value-driven environment.” All the products on sale at the new 365 store will meet Whole Foods Market’s quality standards and will contain no artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners, preservatives or hydrogenated fats. The store will sell an array of organic products including GAP 5 Step Animal Welfare rated meat, sustainable seafood, freshly prepared grab-and-go items, and a variety of products for special dietary needs.
Brooklyn’s 365 store will also feature a coffee bar and artisanal bakery by Orwashers, a 100% plant-based burger joint by Next Level Burger and an organic juice bar by Juice Press as part of its Friends of 365 program. The program partners Whole Foods Market 365 with outside chefs and food/lifestyle/culinary influencers.
The arrival of this budget-friendly Whole Foods Market will be a relief for many in the neighborhood as the impending closure of the Key Food located at 120 5th Avenue is slated for Spring 2018.
