Flatbush Councilmember and Lieutenant Governor hopeful Jumaane Williams was found not guilty of disorderly conduct by a jury this week, though he was found guilty of obstructing an emergency vehicle. The charges stemmed from his arrest protesting the deportation of immigrant activist Ravi Ragbir in January.

Actress Dorothy Ann Miles returned to the stage in a London production of “The King and I,” months after the Park Slope car crash that killed her 4-year old daughter and unborn baby, as well as another child.

In some uplifting news, during a summer of street fairs and celebration, a Sheepshead Bay school threw a wildly successful summer carnival for special needs students—for the eighth year running!
