[UPDATE] Person Reportedly Struck By ‘F’ Train At York Street Station
[UPDATED: Wednesday, September 27 at 11:30am] The investigation on the “F” track at York Street station Tuesday afternoon turned out to be a “false report,” a NYPD representative said Wednesday morning.
Following an investigation of an “unauthorized person on tracks,” police say that no one was found and no one was struck by a train.
The incident disrupted “F” subway service for approximately an hour.
DUMBO – The NYPD reports that an individual was struck by an “F” train at York Street station at approximately 4:25pm Tuesday afternoon.
No other information is available at this time.
The MTA tweeted that “F” train service is currently experiencing delays in both directions due to an investigation.
This would have been the fourth incident of a person being hit by a subway in the past week.
A woman was struck and killed by an “F” train at the Avenue X station last Friday. A man leapt in front of an “N” train at the 8th Avenue station last Friday as well. Another man was fatally hit by an “R” train at the Union Street station last Wednesday.
