Till Friday To Apply for Six Affordable Units in Flatbush
FLATBUSH — Developers are currently accepting applications for six affordable apartments at a new rental development at 146 Linden Blvd. between Bedford and Rogers Avenues.
The new 8-story structure features 16,507 sq. ft. of residential space and 16 units, of which six units are affordable.
The new building replaces a two-story rowhouse. Department of Building lists Solomon Feder of Velocity Framers as the current owner.
The affordable units are reserved for applicants earning 130% area median income (AMI). Annual income requirements range from $60,309 – $108,550 for single or two-person household applicants in the market for a $1,759/month studio. For singles, households of two or three, applicant’s need to make from $64,629 – $122,070 for a one-bedroom.
There’s one studio and five one-bedroom apartments available.
Designed by Mehandes Engineering the new building has a roof-deck, recreation room, video intercom, common backyard, and a coin-operated laundry room.
Applicants who live in New York City are given a general preference but there is no preference to applicants living within the confines of Community Board 17. There is a slight preference for applicants with mobility (5%) and vision/hearing (2%) disabilities.
