The arrival of fall means new restaurants opening citywide, and a number are already popping up in Brooklyn. If you’re looking for a hot new spot to check out, here’s a rundown of six recently opened restaurants that caught our eye:
Ajihei
156 Knickerbocker Ave, Bushwick
A Bushwick branch of legendary Princeton eatery, Ajihei offers sushi, Japanese tapas and ever-popular ramen selections.
Open Tuesday through Thursday 6:30 – 10:30pm, Friday 6:30 – 11:30pm, Saturday 12:00 – 3:00pm & 6:30 – 11:00pm, and Sunday 12:00 – 3:00pm, 6:30-9:30pm
Golda
504 Franklin Ave, Bed-Stuy
A cute all-day cafe open for breakfast and lunch, offers snacks, salads and plates in a “healthy-ish” New-American-via-the-Middle-East mode.

Ugly Baby
407 Smith Street, Carroll Gardens
This new Thai spot from the chef behind Kao Soy promises spicy, authentic food served with plenty of raw vegetables to cool down your palate.

An Oaxan restaurant serving up delicacies with an attention to detail—like in-house nixtamalization of imported Mexican corn for their tortillas.

Nargis Bar and Grill
155 Fifth Ave, Park Slope
