Show Support For A Car-Free Prospect Park With A Bike Ride On Monday
PROSPECT PARK – Bring the family and show your support for a car-free Prospect Park this Monday.
In an effort to make Prospect Park’s roads safe for cyclists, KiDiCAL Mass NYC is hosting a bicycle ride to show their support for a permanent ban on cars in the park. Cars were banned from Prospect Park over the summer from July to September.
Since kids are out of school on Monday, they can join the ride too! The event is open to all ages, but children peddling on their own bicycles must know how to stop. All kids under the age of fourteen must wear a helmet. Helmets are recommended for the older kids and adults else as well.
Riders should note that there will be cars on the East Loop during Monday’s ride.
Participants should meet at the Grand Army Plaza entrance at 8:15am for a group photo. The ride will begin at 8:30am.
