DYKER HEIGHTS – It was a dramatic scene, and thankfully no one was severely hurt after a school bus slammed into another vehicle and flipped to its side at 3:30 pm on Bay Ridge and 10th Avenue yesterday.
There were five kids and two adults on board the bus. A vehicle in front of the bus also appeared to be damaged. Daily News has the photos.
The school bus landed on its side and everyone was taken to Lutheran Medical Center and Maimonides Medical Center.
“FDNY and EMS immediately responded to a serious bus incident that took place in Brooklyn this afternoon. There were no injuries, families are being notified and we are providing additional supports,” said a spokesperson from the Department of Education.
There have been no charges filed and it is not yet clear what caused the accident, the NYPD confirmed.
Almost exactly two years ago to the day a school bus flipped with kids on board on 4th Avenue in Park Slope when it was making an aggressive left turn.
