Like many post-grads, after completing his studies at Columbia University in the 80s, former president Barack Obama moved to Brooklyn.

The brownstone located at 640 2nd Street where Obama and his then-girlfriend shacked up in a top-floor apartment, recently went on the market for $4.295 million.

Located between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West, the home is steps away from the park. The current owners of the brownstone purchased the property in 1994 and converted it into a single-family home. At approximately 3,860 square feet, the impeccable house features five bedrooms, three baths, four fireplaces, and an oversized garden.

Built in 1903, the home maintains much of its historic charm and detail including a double parlor, a third-floor Victorian sitting area, an original built-in china cabinet, and an original claw-foot tub.

Maybe Obama should consider moving back to Brooklyn with Michelle, Malia, Sasha, Bo and Sunny!
