Mexican Restaurant Coming To Former Quesos Mexico Space

We know neighbors were concerned recently when the  Quesos Mexico awning was taken down from the long-standing cheese shop at 2905 Fort Hamilton Parkway (between E 3rd and E 4th Streets), but it turns out the change might actually be for the better! Neighbor Meema Spadola wrote to tell us that the owners of Quesos Mexico are actually opening a restaurant in the space and moving the cheese making to Bushwick, which we confirmed upon stopping by today.

The space doesn’t look like much yet (except for the pressed tin ceiling we hope they keep visible), but a worker on site tells us they’re hoping to have the eatery up and running “as soon as possible!” It will be a Mexican restaurant, and yes, they will be serving their fabulous cheese.
