Man Slashed At Smith-9th Street Subway Station

GOWANUS – A man was slashed on the northbound G train platform at the Smith-9th Street subway station early Thursday morning.

At approximately 2:45am on Thursday, May 23, police say a man was slashed in the face and leg by an unknown assailant. It is currently unclear if there was an altercation prior to the attack. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The victim was taken to NY-P Methodist hospital in stable condition.

Police say a description of the suspect is not yet available. The investigation is ongoing.

A 48-year-old man was stabbed in the arm at Smith-9th Street station in March after he attempted to break up a fight onboard a G train.
