KENSINGTON – Thai Farm Kitchen is opening next Thursday, October 11 at 5:00 pm at 416 Church Avenue (between E4th and E5th) in Kensington. Behind it are husband and wife duo Jess and Kanyawee Calvo, who also have a restaurant in Thailand, and hope to bring both – authentic Thai food, sourced from organic and local ingredients, where possible, in a somewhat nostalgia-inducing (at least for those who grew up or visited Thailand in the ’70s) setting. WILLIAMSBURG – Eleva Coffee Bar opened on October 2nd at 178 North 8th St. Eleva Coffee Bar will be open seven days a week, M – F: 6AM – 7PM, Sat -Sun 7AM-7PM.
CROWN HEIGHTS – CityMD opened their newest facility in Crown Heights on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 256 Utica Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11213. PARK SLOPE – Refoundry opened a Gallery @Habit in Park Slope. The Gallery features furniture made by Refoundry Entrepreneurs and at Refoundry Workshops. Refoundry is a non-profit based in the Brooklyn navy Yard that trains formerly incarcerated people to repurpose discarded materials into home furnishings, and mentors participants into their own business or career-track job. The Refoundry Gallery is located in Habit (137 5th Avenue), a women’s boutique clothing store owned by Gowanus resident Laura Kleinman.
DUMBO –The Fit Loft, a boutique fitness studio with a variety of classes including Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Bootcamp, Salsa and much more opened in DUMBO at 53 Bridge Street, Suite 201 recenty. First Class only $20 or One week Unlimited for $35
