Join The NYPD, FDNY & Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs For A Safety Meeting This Thursday
If you have any concerns about safety in Ditmas Park, clear your calendar the evening of Thursday, June 12. Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs is holding a 7pm forum with police and fire department representatives at Temple Isaac (1419 Dorchester Road on the corner of Marlborough, downstairs entrance) to inform residents about local safety initiatives, including collaborative policing efforts and fire education.
In attendance will be Deputy Assistant Chief James E. Leonard of the FDNY, as well as Patrol Borough Brooklyn South Commanding Officer Assistant Chief Owen Monaghan and officers from the 70th, 67th, and 63rd Precincts. Locals are invited to come learn as well as to voice their comments, questions, and suggestions about area safety. Refreshments will be served.
The event is in response to some recent serious and scary events in the neighborhood, and it’s a lot closer to many locals than the monthly meeting near the 70th Precinct station house–so those who can make it should RSVP to Assemblywoman Jacobs’ Chief of Staff Melanie Hirsch at 718-434-0446 or ribackm@assembly.state.ny.us.
