DF Studio (593 Coney Island Avenue between Lewis Place and Matthews Court), the new project from Ditmas Fitness‘ Juan Spencer, is starting a two-part Community Series–and if you’re a local health or fitness professional, they’re looking for you. Studio manager Alden LaPaglia says:

Through this series we provide free event space for community or arts related events and host workshops or classes to raise money for community organizations. Programs are offered by suggested donation so that participants may either pay what they can or donate what they will in support or their community.
We are currently booking vendors for our Sunday, November 17 Health Fair and would love to include health and fitness professionals from the greater Ditmas Park community. It is from 11am-3pm, and there is no charge for a “booth.” We currently have room for another 3-5 vendors. Vendors should contact me initially at studio@ditmasfitness.com with a proposal of what they’d like to offer.

Alden says the November 17 event will include assessments from DF Studio’s own instructors on fitness,  nutrition, and aromatherapy. The suggested donation will be $1, and raffle tickets will be available to support a non-profit organization.

There are more details to come, but for now, shoot Alden an email if you want to contribute to this community-minded event.
