Greene Hill Food Co-op Hosts Open House This Weekend

CLINTON HILL – Just about a month after opening its new location at 1083 Fulton Street, the Greene Hill Food Co-op is hosting an Early Harvest Open House this weekend to introduce neighbors to the new store.

Both members of the co-op and non-members are invited to shop this Saturday and Sunday and learn more about Greene Hill’s affordable, local, seasonal produce and grocery items. The event will feature demonstrations and samples made with products from the store.

The co-op will waive the $25 administrative fee for any new members who join before or at the open house event. The co-op requires each member/owner to invest in the store ($150 + $25 admin fee) and work at least two and a half hours every four weeks. A reduced $25 membership investment (+ $5 admin fee) is available for qualifying low income residents. A free one-month trial membership is also available for those not sure if they are ready to commit.

Park Slope Food Co-op members are welcome to shop at Greene Hill with no additional work commitment required. Learn about Greene Hill Food Co-op’s membership plans here.

The Greene Hill Food Co-op is member-owned and operated with more than 300 members. The co-op relocated to Fulton Street after its former home at 18 Putnam Avenue was sold earlier this year. Co-op members launched a campaign to raise funds to relocate and renovate the new storefront.
