Rescue workers pulled a woman to shore at Kingsborough Community College Tuesday morning after she jumped into Sheepshead Bay, according to the FDNY.

The fire department says emergency workers responded to a report of a drowning victim near the campus just before 7am. Authorities could not explain why the woman had jumped into the water. They reported that she was safely brought to shore and sent to Coney Island Hospital in stable condition.

Earlier this summer, officers from the 61st Precinct swam out from Manhattan Beach to rescue two drowning victims after their jet ski tipped over. The officers were given special citations from State Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz.

Last month, emergency workers rescued a man at Emmons Avenue who had fallen into Sheepshead Bay.
