Calaveras, A New Mexican Restaurant At 2905 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Is Now Open

A new Mexican restaurant, Calaveras (2905 Fort Hamilton Parkway), is holding its soft opening today, and neighbor Meema Spadola’s description of their food has us chomping at the bit to try it!

Meema wrote to us and said she had “fresh, delicious guacamole” and “soft house-made corn tortillas.” Plus, she said that the chorizo and carne asada tacos were very good.

“Definitely a strong addition to the growing restaurant scene on Fort Hamilton Parkway!” Meema wrote to us.

Plus, fans of the owners’ former business, the longstanding cheese shop Quesos Mexico, will be happy to know that the new restaurant has Oaxacan cheese on the menu.
