Beach Season Has Been Extended!
For the second year in a row, NYC beaches (except Cedar Grove and Wolfe’s Pond) will stay open through Sunday, September 10, 2017 — a week after the normal Labor Day schedule.
Not a beach lover? Rather, are you a free public pool kind of person? Not to worry, because pool season has also been extended to Sept 10 (except for mini pools). The official start of pool season is on June 29.
Going to the beach is still possible without a car (and you get free sunscreen). So grab your beach mats and run for the beach!
