For years, Ba Xuyên restaurant has been serving up flavorful Banh Mi to Sunset Park residents and Brooklynites in search for soulful Vietnamese cuisine.

If you’re in the neighborhood, order the classic Banh Mi, which is number one on the menu. The scrumptious Vietnamese sandwich is packed various juices from the sliced roasted pork, pickled vegetables, and crunched up into a toasty baguette.

Ba Xuyên has one goal: The all-white interior shop—with a few potted trees and four tables—wants to blow its competition away by selling top notch Banh mi.

If you’re not a fan of pork, opt for chicken instead, and try the grilled chicken Banh called ‘banh mi ga nuong,’ which is number nine on the menu and costs $5.75. Sandwiches come in spicy hot flavors and mild is the most popular.

For drinks, order an iced coffee for $2.75 or try the avocado shake for $3.50. It’s an unusual combination, but the creamy concoction surprisingly refreshes your palate to cut the saltiness of the sandwich.
