Youth Opportunity Summit This Saturday

Do you know a teen or young adult who’s looking for job or internship opportunities, and could use a chance to build the skills needed to get one? Then make sure they know about this upcoming event.

The Community Board 6 Youth Opportunity Summit will take place on Saturday, May 16 from 1-5pm at the John Jay Educational Campus, 237 7th Avenue. Geared toward youth ages 16-24 (who should bring their resumes!), the event will highlight job readiness skills, networking, and job search skill building, plus provide information about civic engagement, employment and internship opportunities, and enrichment programs for young adults.

Here’s the schedule:

1pm: Opening Session with Guest Speakers
2-4:30pm: Civic & Job Skills Workshop
2-5pm: Opportunity Expo

They’ll also have refreshments, and the chance to win some pretty cool prizes.
