With kids getting out of school soon for the summer, you might be looking for ways to help children, teens, and young adults home from college fill their days in a positive way — or maybe you’re just looking for a way to give back to your community yourself. So, in conjunction with Assemblymember James Brennan, we’ve posted a list of nearly 100 places to volunteer in Brooklyn.

From walking dogs with your kids at Sean Casey Animal Rescue to helping with CAMBA’s Beyond Hunger Food Pantry, there are several opportunities locally, as well as a ton more around the borough. The list gives you a rundown on what each organization does, what they need from volunteers, who the tasks are best suited for, and more.

It’s a great resource to keep coming back to whenever you’re looking for a way to help out your neighbors — you can find it in our Local Resources drop-down menu at the top of each page.

And if you know of any other organization that you think could benefit from being on this list, please contact Brennan’s office at brennanj@assembly.state.ny.us or 718-788-7221, or let us know at editor@ditmasparkcorner.com.
