Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, “Through our great good fortune, in our youth our hearts were touched with fire. It was given to us to learn at the outset that life is a profound and passionate thing.”

Witness that fire in person as Brooklyn Reading Works hosts Young Writers Night at the Old Stone House on Thursday, September 20. The two-hour program, part of the larger Brooklyn Book Festival, will showcase up-and-coming teen authors from across five boroughs as they present everything from fiction to song. And maybe the coolest part? The whole thing’s curated by Hannah Frishberg, herself a high school senior.
