Red Horse Goodbye Sign

We have incredibly sad news from 6th Avenue this morning. The Red Horse Cafe has closed their doors.

Red Horse owners Carolina and Brent Whitson confirmed the news Monday night, as they sorted through the cafe’s equipment with friend, Livia Beasley.

Carolina explained that after seven years in business, and a growing family, the time had come to say goodbye.

“It’s bittersweet, though,” she said. “One of our regulars told us that Red Horse was like Cheers. I hate to disappoint people.”

Brent said that the cafe will be open this week, selling everything from wine glasses and espresso machines, to changing stations and lighting fixtures.

Whether you’re in search of items for your business, or some new-to-you glassware at home, consider stopping by the cafe and helping our neighbors out. They’d love to sell as much as they can by the end of the week, and there really are some fantastic finds. If you have any questions, or would like to request a specific item, email redhorsecafe@verizon.net.

After countless hours spent typing away inside the Red Horse, we are truly sorry to see the cafe go. Our best wishes go out to Carolina and Brent as they move on to their next adventure.
