Woman Stabbed At Whole Foods Parking Lot
GOWANUS – A 53-year-old woman was stabbed Monday night outside the Whole Foods at 214 3rd Street in Gowanus.
At approximately 9:30pm on July 8, the woman was loading groceries into a car at the Whole Foods parking lot. A man approached her and stabbed her in the left hand, according to police. The man reportedly said “hello” to the woman before attacking her, the New York Post reported.
The victim was able to get into the car and drive to NY-P Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where she was treated for a laceration on her hand. She is in stable condition.
An armed store security guard detained 21-year-old Rodney Robinson until police arrived to the scene, according to the Post. He is being charged with assault and possession of a deadly weapon.
