Woman Shot In Stomach Inside Sheepshead Bay Apartment
Cops arrested a man who shot a woman in the stomach inside her Avenue V apartment on Saturday night.
Travis Bascom, 26, reportedly shot the 38-year-old woman at 10:30pm on Saturday, March 4, said cops. Bascom fled the scene, but with witness reports, he was found and arrested nearby by 11:15pm.
The victim was taken to Lutheran Medical Center in stable condition, said cops. There were children in the apartment but it was not immediately clear if they were the victim’s children.
Witnesses told police that Bascom and the victim knew each other, reports the NY Daily News.
Police charged Bascom with assault, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
