Woman Robbed At Gunpoint on E. 23rd Street Between Farragut & Foster
A South Midwood woman was robbed at gunpoint while on East 23rd Street, between Farragut Road and Foster Avenue, around 5:45 pm Friday evening, according to information that neighbor Morris Gindi passed on from the area’s police liaison, Monica Beyer.
Fortunately, the woman, who had been walking home from the subway at the time of the crime, was not physically injured, but “everything of value, except her keys, was taken,” the neighbor reported.
“Police officers and a detective responded very quickly, and a full report was obtained,” the police liaison wrote.
The assailants were both described to be between 15 and 17 years old, about 5-feet-5-inches, and thin – about 120 pounds or so. They were both dressed in sweat pants and sweaters (not hoodies), and the two teens were wearing sneakers.
