Woman Killed, Man In Critical Condition After Sunday Shooting

A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition following an early morning shooting on Sunday, July 6, according to the NYPD.

Police say they responded to a call at about 2:25am on Lefferts Place between Franklin and Classon Avenues, and upon arrival found 32-year-old Tamecca Haskins of Brownsville with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 34-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Kings County Hospital, where Haskins was pronounced dead.

Cops say no arrests have been made, and their investigation is ongoing. Our thoughts are with the victims’ family and friends.
