Cops Find Dead Woman Wrapped Inside Blanket
PROSPECT PARK SOUTH – A wellness check that came too late. On January 30 at about 3:04 p.m., the NYPD was trying to conduct a “wellness check” inside a third-floor apartment at 145 E 18 Street.
Cops were having a bit of trouble going inside as a 57-year-old man was refusing them entry. Once cops went inside, they found an unconscious and unresponsive 56-year-old woman wrapped in a blanket on the bedroom floor. She was pronounced dead, though the cause is still under investigation.
The 57-year-old man, Lawrence, Corey who resides in the apartment was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, obstruction of governmental administration, and resisting arrest. Victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
