Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone. If you’re still looking for a place to celebrate the new year, local bars and restaurants are hosting parties tonight.

If you need champagne or any other drink, most local liquor stores are open until 9 p.m. tonight.

Cortelyou Wine & Liquor Co. (1524 Cortelyou Road)
Newkirk Station Liquors & Wines (11 Newkirk Plaza)
TB Ackerson (1205 Cortelyou Road)

Cole from TB Ackerson gave us a few suggestions for New Year’s bubbly that we thought we’d pass on. For the budget partiers, Collalbrigo Rose single-serving ($6) will get you started, Casas del Mar Rose Cava ($15) will get you dancing and Taittinger Champagne ($55) is going to make it a night to remember. Finally, aspiring French aristocrats can take up Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top ($99) to top everything.

Do you need funky 2013 glasses, a ton of confetti or weird hats? These are the easiest options and they’ll be open until 10 (except Bobby’s which closes at 7 tonight).

Rite Aid (1419 Newkirk Avenue)
Duane Reade  (1517 Cortelyou Road)
Bobby’s Department Store (1601 Church Avenue)

Car services are running all night tonight (as usual). If possible, call and schedule ahead.

Mex Express Car Service (1623 Cortelyou Road) – 718-941-5200
R Transport (1021 Avenue H) – 718-859-1900
Church Avenue Car Services (3411 14th Avenue) – 718-633-4444

Finally, the daunting morning after.

Ox Cart’s brunch begins at 11 a.m.
• Neighborhood breakfast spots such as Picket Fence (opens 11 a.m.), Qathra (7 a.m.) and Lark (7 a.m.) are all open bright and early.
• Need a hangover cure? Drink water the whole night, drink water before you sleep, drink water when you wake up and then go back to sleep. If you must be awake, consult the mountains of tentative hangover cure recommendations and then realize that it’d way better to be asleep.

Have a great and safe new year, everyone. How will you be celebrating?
