What’s Happening? Weekend Events Recap

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there are a million things happening all over the Slope.

We’ve got family activities left, right, and center with Spring Fling over at JJ Byrne and the Old Stone House from 11am to 9:30pm, Free Comics Day at Brooklyn Comics and More (493 7th Ave) from 11am to 7pm, and don’t forget Touch-A-Truck on 18th Street between 6th and 7th Ave from 12pm to 5pm.

For the older set, Powerhouse on 8th has a tasting of some of Julia Child’s greatest recipes from 4pm to 5pm on Saturday. Afterward, head over to the newly opened Supercollider, who are celebrating with free beer (!!!) from 7pm to 10pm.

Sunday, bring a little extra green to your block with a free tree giveaway in Gowanus from Build it Green NYC. If you didn’t have time to reserve a tree, don’t worry because there will be a limited number available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
