Monday, February 18 is Presidents’ Day. See below for a list of what’s closed today in observance of the holiday.

Government Offices, Parking, And Sanitation
Government offices, including the Department of Motor Vehicles and courts, are closed on Monday.

There is no regular mail delivery today.

Alternate side parking regulations are suspended on Monday. All other regulations, including parking meters, are in effect.

There is no garbage/recycling/organics collection today. If Monday is your regular garbage or organics pickup day, place your items out on the curb after 4pm Monday evening. If Monday is your regular recycling day, place your items curbside after 4pm next Sunday, February 24 for collection on Monday, February 25.

NYC public schools are closed for Midwinter Recess. Schools will reopen on Monday, February 25.

All branches of the Brooklyn Public Library are closed on Monday.

Transportation
On Monday, February 18, New York City subways and buses will run on a Saturday schedule. There will be service changes due to planned work on the 4, C, F, J and L lines. Go to the MTA website for more information.
