What & Where To Drink This Cinco De Mayo
You told us what you’ll be eating on Sunday, but how are you washing it down? We have a few recommendations from T.B. Ackerson Wine & Spirits, as well as some details on what Sycamore will be serving this Cinco de Mayo.
Recommended tequilas:
- Sombrero Silver (above, $18.99): Light and buttery, easy to drink.
- Espolon Silver (not pictured, $23.99): You might recognize this one, similarly smooth like Sombrero, from Sycamore.
- Casamigos Blanco (not pictured, $49.99): Crisp and fruity for a not-too hard kick.
- Tequila Cabeza (second from left below, $36.99): The bartender-friendly bottle was designed by the folks behind Death & Co., and the 1-liter size (as opposed to the standard 750mL) is a great value for the price.
Recommended mezcals:
- Del Maguey Santo Domingo Albarradas (center above, $74.99): Spicy and full of citrus.
- Del Maguey Chichicapa (second from right above, $64.99): Complex and smoky.
If you’re planning to visit a neighborhood bar this Sunday, you should also know Sycamore will be featuring a special tequila-based cocktail, as well as $1 off cans of Tecate from 12-6pm.
