One of the biggest street fairs in New York City, the 42nd annual Atlantic Antic is taking place this Sunday, September 25 from 12-6pm. It runs rain or shine along Atlantic Avenue from 4th Avenue to Hicks Street. Expect live music, tons of stuff for the kids, and more than 500 booths to check out for shopping and eating.

This year, there’s an Official Atlantic Antic event app that can be downloaded for free. A street map for the event is also available.

Here are some things to look out for:

• Eddie “The Sheik” Koshak and The Amber-Aba Orchestra performance on the Atlantic Avenue Main Stage  on Atlantic Avenue between Clinton and Court Streets, with a performance from 12pm-2pm.

• The New York Transit Museum lets you check out some vintage buses for free on Boerum Place between Atlantic and State Streets from 11am-6pm, and then head to the museum a block away where admission is just $1 until 5pm (last admission at 4:30pm).

• Bring the kids to the block between Boerum and Smith where there will be several bounce houses, face painting, carnival rides, and pony rides.

• But that’s not all! Be sure to check out all the bands playing throughout the afternoon.

The Atlantic Avenue in Living Color’s Post-Antic Promotion is a new addition for the festival and will take place between October 1 and October 16. Festival attendees will be able to return to Atlantic Avenue for discounts and special giveaways from local merchants.
