Intro to Bird Watching takes place Saturdays at noon.

The new year is almost here and so lots of the usual events are taking one more week off before rebooting in 2013. Let us know how you’re spending the last week of 2012.

Tonight 12/27

• Learn Needlecraft at Prospect Park, 1pm.
• Celebrate Kwanzaa at Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 11:30am and 2:30pm.
• Celebrate Kwanzaa at the Central Library, 3pm.
• Start Yoga Level 1 at Midwood Martial Arts, 7:30pm.

Friday 12/28

• Weekly sing along with the Deedle Deedle Dees at Lark, 10am.
• Celebrate Kwanzaa at Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 11:30am and 2:30pm.
New parent meet-up at Lark, 1pm.
• Join Ditmas Rides for a bike ride, meet at the Cortelyou Library at 7pm.
• The night begins with Pleasure Web with DJs Oneman & E’s E at Sycamore, 10pm.

Saturday 12/29

• Celebrate Kwanzaa at Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 11:30am and 2:30pm.
Intro to bird watching at Prospect Park, noon.
• Volunteer with the kids at Nature’s Helpers in Prospect Park, 2pm.

Sunday 12/30

• The Cortelyou Greenmarket, 8am.
• Celebrate Kwanzaa at Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 11:30am and 2:30pm.
• Volunteer with the kids at Nature’s Helpers in Prospect Park, 2pm.
• Take the Discover Tour at Prospect Park, 3pm.
Sit Zazen for newcomers at Third Root, 6:45pm.

Monday 12/31

• Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Ditmas Park.
