Has Beans Back in Business After Sunday’s Fire

Good news, South Slope and beyond! After Sunday night’s fire, which is reportedly still under investigation, Has Beans, located on 5th Avenue between 17th and 18th Street, is back and ready to welcome a booming crowd of caffeine loving Brooklynites.

I stopped by this morning and, save a sheet of plastic covering one corner of the ceiling, you’d never know anything unusual had occurred. The cafe was filled with a warm, chatty, and laptop wielding crowd and, as one commenter informed us, “It was business as usual.”
