First Five Years Kids Create: Handprint Turkeys
When: Wednesday, November 18, 4pm
Where: Clinton Hill Library, 380 Washington Avenue
What: Gobble gobble! Bring kids ages 2-5 into the library to make no-mess, trace-and-cut handprint turkeys…and a few new friends, too.

Read! Write! Create! Comic Strip Workshop
When: Thursday, November 19, 4pm
Where: Cortelyou Library, 1305 Cortelyou Road, Ditmas Park
What: Kids ages 7-12 will learn how to create comics that are viewable through 3D glasses!

Ezra Jack Keats Bedtime Stories
When: Thursday, November 19, 7pm
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Park Slope
What: Enjoy Ezra Jack Keats-themed stories, songs, and activities — plus, each child will go home with one of the author’s books.

Family Movies @ The Library: Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
When: Friday, November 20, 3:30pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Park Slope
What: I think we can all relate to Alexander — and your kids certainly will during this funny film adaptation of the popular picture book.

Free Family Art Day
When: Saturday, November 21, 10-11:30pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Join Spellbound Theater as they lead this morning of art exploration, where families will get creative through song, puppetry, and play — plus, you’ll learn some art-based literacy activities to do at home.

Story Time: Elephants Make Fine Friends
When: Saturday, November 21, 11am
Where: Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton Street, Fort Greene
What: New York-based author and illustrator Colter Jackson will read her book about a girl and her elephant pal and their struggle to overcome, well, his elephantiness.

Art Workshop: Comic Book Illustration
When: Saturday, November 21, 11am
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Park Slope
What: A cool chance for kids to learn how to draw comic books from artist Mark Ziemann, a teacher and the creator of the comic strip Motorhead.

Family Movie Night: Inside Out
When: Saturday, November 21, 4:30pm
Where: Park Slope Armory Y, 361 15th Street
What: Local families are invited to come together for a good old-fashioned movie night, featuring the recent Pixar film, Inside Out.

Story Time: Happy In Our Skin
When: Sunday, November 22, 11:30am
Where: powerHouse on 8th, 1111 8th Avenue, South Slope
What: Author Fran Manushkin will read her book aloud — it tells the story of the fun ties that bind the human family.

Preschool Storytime

What: Kids up to age 5 will enjoy picture books, songs, and socializing with other children in this playful program.
