Looking for something to do with the whole family this week? There are a lot of great kid-friendly events coming up in Brooklyn, and we’ve selected some of our favorites. See the full details below!

Kids Create
When: Wednesday, September 30, 4:15-5pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Ave, Park Slope
What: Kids ages 6 and up (younger kids are welcome with an adult) will enjoy a story and do some related arts and crafts.
How Much: Free!

The Dad Beats
When: Thursday, October 1, 11am-12pm
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue, Ditmas Park
What: The Brooklyn favorite brings surf, rock and country grooves that will make the kids (and the grown-ups) get down!
How Much: Free!

KIDtivity With Puppetsburgh
When: Friday, October 2, 10am
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Dancing, music, bubble time, a new puppet story each week, all geared toward kids up to age 4 (“and their hipster parents,” according to the site!).
How Much: Free with registration, but space is limited — reserve your tickets in advance.

Story Time: Fable Comics
When: Saturday, October 3, 11am
Where: Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton Street, Fort Greene
What: Bring those fable-loving kiddos ages 3-8 to hear some classics from the author who adapted them and the illustrator who did some art on this new book. Expect to see (and get in on) some drawing, too!
How Much: Free!

Tildon Krautz
When: Saturday, October 3, 1pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: This songwriting string band apparently embodies “the wacky, playful universe of an award-winning children’s book illustrator,” which basically means you and the whole family should expect some toe-tapping good times!
How Much: Free!

Scharen Knippen
When: Saturday, October 3 & Sunday, October 4, 2-4pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Get psyched for fall by doing a little old Dutch crafting, cutting out autumn and Halloween scenes and patterns — some designed by Mrs. Lefferts herself! Also look out for potato sack races and other historic toys and games.
How Much: $3 suggested donation.

Story Time: What Is Punk?
When: Sunday, October 4, 11am
Where: PowerHouse on 8th, 1111 8th Avenue, South Slope
What: At what age should you introduce a child to “Where Eagles Dare”? Between 3 and 7, according to the age guidelines of this awesome book, which the author will be on hand to read.
How Much: Free!

Preschool Storytime
When: Monday, October 5, 10:30-11am
Where: Clinton Hill Library, 380 Washington Avenue
What: A read-aloud for preschool-aged kids.
How Much: Free!

Stomp, Clap & Sing With Bilingual Birdies
When: Tuesday, October 8, 11am
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: It’s a celebration of language and culture with this fun-filled band.
How Much: Free!
