Looking for something to do with the whole family this week? There are a lot of great kid-friendly events coming up in Brooklyn, and we’ve selected some of our favorites. See the full details below!

Cortelyou Friends Storytime
When: Thursday, September 24, 10:30am
Where: Cortelyou Library, 1305 Cortelyou Road, Ditmas Park
What: Kids from birth to age 5 and their caregivers are invited to cozy up for a few stories.
How Much: Free!

Weekly Singalong With Lloyd Of The Deedle Deedle Dees
When: Friday, September 25, 10am
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue, Ditmas Park
What: This interactive singalong is all about the history or New York City, and more.
How Much: Suggested $5 per child.

Lakeside Recess
When: Friday, September 25, 2pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: It’s recess time! Play in the park with free pickelball, badminton, Kan Jam, and ladder ball.
How Much: Free!

Storytime: Peg + Cat: The Race Car Problem
When: Saturday, September 26, 11am
Where: Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton Street, Fort Greene
What: Hear this tale of everyone’s favorite math mavens as they build a cool car for a race. The author and illustrator will be doing the reading!
How Much: Free!

Transforming Food
When: Saturday, September 26 & Sunday, September 27, 2-4pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Got an aspiring chef at home? Bring them to see how treats were made a long time ago in Brooklyn, as they’ll churn butter, grind corn, peel apples — then taste the fruits of their labor with popcorn and apple pie.
How Much: $3 suggested donation.

Storytime: Toy Meets Snow
When: Sunday, September 27, 11:30am
Where: PowerHouse on 8th, 1111 8th Avenue, South Slope
What: Authors Emily Jenkins and Paul O. Zelinsky will read their tale about toys who venture outside on a snowy day.
How Much: Free!

Atlantic Antic
When: Sunday, September 27, 12-6pm
Where: Atlantic Avenue from 4th Avenue to the waterfront, Downtown Brooklyn
What: One of the city’s largest street fairs has all the things you expect — food, rides, games — plus a schedule of music and dance performances that includes entertainment for the kids, not to mention opportunities to check out old vehicles at the transit museum!
How Much: Free to attend.

Folk Music Sing Along With Katy Stone
When: Monday, September 28, 11am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Ave, Park Slope
What: Katy Stone visits Park Slope Library for a fun singalong of her favorite tunes.
How Much: Free!
