Weeknight Service Changes To Q Trains In Brooklyn

Weeknight Q train riders should expect service changes between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Prospect Park for the next two weeks.

There will be no Q service between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Prospect Park (Empire Boulevard/Flatbush Avenue) between 10pm to 5am from Monday, September 11 to Friday, September 15, and then again from Monday, September 18 to Friday, September 22.

Free shuttle buses will take commuters to/from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Prospect Park during these times, stopping at the 7th Avenue station on Flatbush Avenue in between. The MTA suggests using the D or N lines instead for service to/from Coney Island.

Q service will run in two sections—between 96th Street in Manhattan and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Prospect Park.

Riders should note that the Q line will skip the DeKalb Avenue stop in both directions from 10:30pm to 11:30pm during these two weeks.

Riders should also note that Brighton Beach-bound B service will end earlier than usual. After 10pm, the last stop for Brighton Beach-bound B trains will be Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.

The schedule changes are a part of FASTRACK—a maintenance, cleaning, and repair program that shuts down portions of a subway line for several hours over consecutive weeknights to allow MTA employees to perform necessary work, such as clearing trash from the tracks and the third rail, repairing or replacing tracks, and maintaining signals and switches.
