We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Sheepshead Bay this weekend. Any thoughts on these places?

2280 Burnett Street #4J
List Price: $145,000, $566 maintenance
Size: One bedroom, one bathroom
Details: Animal lovers, take note — this neighborhood straddling co-op is all ready to welcome you and your best furry friend. It’s tough to tell from nighttime photos how much light this place really gets, but it’s certainly not lacking in windows, plus there’s an eat-in kitchen, room for a desk or possible dining setup in the foyer, and a good amount of closet space. It’s also located just across the street from your daily dose of nature in Marine Park, as well as two blocks from buses including the BM4 into Manhattan.
Open House: Saturday, February 28, 12-2pm

2553 E 7th Street #6B
List Price: $249,000, $773 maintenance
Size: Two bedrooms, one bathroom
Details: This co-op has lovely wood floors, great closet space in at least one bedroom, and a windowed bath and kitchen with a dishwasher — though the latter could probably use  a cosmetic update. The building offers common laundry facilities and a (currently full) garage, and is near shopping and dining on Coney Island Avenue, a few blocks from the Sheepshead Bay B/Q, and near bus lines as well as Homecrest Playground.
Open House: Sunday, March 1, 12-2pm

2046 E 29th Street
List Price: $698,500
Size: Three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
Details: This 1930 brick home near buses, food, and shopping on Avenue U is simply stunning with its original wood floors, updated kitchen featuring plenty of cabinets, gorgeous bathrooms, fabulous closet space, and covered terrace. It gets light from the east and west, features a suite downstairs for guests, and has an all new roof — including on its garage.
Open House: Sunday, March 1, 12-3pm

2810 Avenue R
List Price: $899,000
Size: Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, split over two units
Details: This house between E 28th and E 29th Street, with its dated carpet and wallpaper, could definitely use some work. The good news, though, is that its asking price has dropped $100k since it first appeared on the market in late January — so those starting out with a roughly million dollar budget will have that much more left over for renovations. What’s more, a second unit could earn you some rental income to offset various costs — and if you don’t have a vehicle to put in the driveway or garage, you can quickly catch the bus on Avenue R.
Open House: Sunday, March 1, 12-2pm
