This Weekend’s Sheepshead Bay Open House Picks
We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Sheepshead Bay this weekend. Any thoughts on these places?

List Price: $250,500, $951 maintenance
Size: Three bedrooms, one bathroom
Details: Damn, this place is (relatively) cheap! Not often do we come across Brooklyn apartments costing less than $100k per bedroom, so this sweet thing could be a great score for a family on a tight buying budget. It’s on the first floor but super bright, as well as fresh and clean, and the building features amenities like a gym and recreation room. Only downside is location–at Brigham and Avenue W, the only thing it’s particularly close to is the water.

2511 Ocean Avenue
List Price: $599,000, $289 common charges
Size: Two bedrooms, two bathrooms
Details: This condo is pretty new, which is great except it’s unclear how those bathroom finishes ended up there. Odd tile and vanities aside, it does have strengths in its size (over 1,100 sq ft), its private washer and dryer, its big (if not very green) outdoor space, its location (near the Q line and yummy stuff on Avenue U), and its time already on the market (at 80 days, the price has already dropped $20k). Can’t hurt to look, right?

2752 E 27th Street, #3A
List Price: $649,000, $155 common charges
Size: Three bedrooms, two bathrooms
Details: This top floor condo features high ceilings, a balcony, and over 1,300 sq ft of living space–plus finishes that are much more of the times. There’s also private parking and storage, and washer/dryer hookup for your laundering pleasure. Unfortunately, it’s not quite as well located as the place above–while it’s near the shore, it’s not terribly close to the subway or other amenities.

Size: Four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
Details: This Gravesend two family house has a whole lot of new going for it–new floors, new kitchen and bathroom finishes, and new electric mechanicals, to be specific. As for the great outdoors in this one, you’ll have two terraces, parking for two cars, and a reportedly lovely backyard–and you’ll be near Avenue X and Coney Island Avenue amenities, too.
