This Weekend’s Fort Greene-Clinton Hill Open House Picks

This Weekend’s Fort Greene-Clinton Hill Open House Picks
apartment for sale via corcoran

We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting condo and co-op open houses happening around Fort Greene and Clinton Hill this weekend. Any thoughts on these places?

195 Willoughby Avenue #909
List Price: $230,000, $459 maintenance
Size: Studio, one bathroom
Details: Any Pratt faculty members looking for a place? We wouldn’t call this one palatial, but it’s on a high floor, looks nice and sunny, and will get you to campus in a jiffy. It has some shiny wood floors, what looks like some decent closet space, and in building laundry–plus, there’s apparently a Murphy bed to save space if that’s what you’re into. Can’t say we’ve listed a place with a Murphy bed before!
Open House: Sunday, October 19, 11:00am-12:30pm

149 Clinton Avenue #3A
List Price: $625,000, $929 maintenance
Size: Two bedrooms, one bathroom
Details: Wow, this is a beaut. Light and bright with some great arched entryways, this apartment has east- and west-facing exposures, so you’ll never miss a good sunrise or sunset again (unless you’re sleeping, we guess). The pet-friendly unit features its own washer and dryer, its split bedroom layout will give all residents ample privacy, and the building, located steps from all the good stuff on Myrtle, offers storage and a communal outdoor space as well.
Open House: Sunday, October 19, 12-1:30pm

141 Lefferts Place
List Price: $1,900,000
Size: Four bedrooms and five bathrooms over multiple units
Details: No interior photos are available for this home between Franklin and Classon–acknowledged as a “fixer upper” in its listing though some recent upgrades are noted–but it sure is gorgeous from the outside. It’s got a mansard roof, nice tall windows, and a deck that seems to be in good shape, but this place isn’t all looks–it’s also currently set up as an income property, with three rental apartments already situated over the current owner’s duplex. Oh, and it’s been on the market for over three months, so you might have a little room to negotiate.
Open House: Sunday, October 19, 1-2:30pm

394 Vanderbilt Avenue
List Price: $2,375,000
Size: Eight bedrooms, four bathrooms
Details: This place comes with a serious mortgage, but we figure an eight bedroom home with almost as many fireplaces deserves “serious.” Like the house above, this place is gonna need some elbow grease–and also like the house above, its next owner could feasibly collect some helpful renovation funds from a rental tenant. With this one, you’ll also be close to the C and G as well as trains at Atlantic Barclays, not to mention food and entertainment on Fulton, Lafayette, and Greene.
Open House: Sunday, October 19, 1:30-3pm
