This Weekend’s Fort Greene-Clinton Hill Open House Picks
We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening around Fort Greene and Clinton Hill this weekend. Any thoughts on these places?
185 Hall Street #1110
List Price: $410,000, $713 maintenance
Size: One bedroom, one bathroom
Details: There are no interior photos available for this place between Myrtle and Willoughby (although a floor plan at the listing shows a bedroom and living area exceeding postage stamp standards), but apparently it’s not the inside of the apartment that’s so important anyway–you’re really paying for the killer view. The building is also pet-friendly, offers laundry and storage in the basement, and has a parking garage–though you’ll have to join a wait list to get in.
Open House: Sunday, January 11, 1-3pm
201 Clinton Avenue #4C
List Price: $675,000, $1,041 maintenance
Size: Two bedrooms, one bathroom
Details: This place near Willoughby Avenue is also limited in the pictures department, but as it’s way less expensive than any other two-beds we saw this week, we think you should chance it. The one interior photo available shows a nice dining area flanked by big windows and new appliances, and the floor plan reveals just how big the unit’s common area is (daaamn). Besides all the great space and recent updates in there, the complex also offers an electricity bill-slimming co-generation system. Win!
Open House: Sunday, January 11, 12-1:30pm
186 Hall Street
List Price: $1,295,000
Size: Four bedrooms, five bathrooms, split over two units
Details: This lovely red row house is currently split into two units–a structure which offers whomever buys it a nice mortgage-mitigating option. The price also dropped by $200,000 in late December, and while the listing mentions restoring some of the home’s vintage details, it looks in pretty good shape to us. Turnkey or not, it’s pretty well priced for a whole house near Pratt.
Open House: Sunday, January 11, 1-2pm
26 South Portland Avenue
List Price: $3,450,000
Size: Six bedrooms, five bathrooms, split over four units
Details: Again, the multiple units here could help to pay off a buyer’s expenses–but with a price at over $2M more than the house above, this place is even less attainable to most home hunters than the last. Still, it’s certainly got the location, location, location factor, as well as some seriously stunning details including ornate ceilings, functional fireplaces, and arched entryways, so… if you’ve got the bank account, make the mandatory appointment and check it out.
Open House: Sunday, January 11, 12:30-2pm (by appointment only–call 917-803-1147)
