We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Ditmas Park this Sunday. Any thoughts on these places?

495 E 7th Street #6D
List Price: $260,000, $630 maintenance
Size: One bedroom, one bathroom
Details: Room for one? This 700 sq ft place offers lots of east-facing windows, clean wood floors, and pretty decent closet space. The kitchen is small, but as you’ll be just a few minutes from all the eateries on Cortelyou, you might choose not to cook much anyway. Finally, the building offers central laundry, a bike room, extra storage, and parking — eventually, that is. For now, you can get on the wait list.
Open House: Sunday, February 15, 3-4:30pm

1155 Ocean Avenue #6A
List Price: $295,000, $468 maintenance
Size: One bedroom, one bathroom
Details: This place between Farragut and Glenwood is open, airy, and full of potential, if currently a bit confusing. Take the underutilized kitchen space, for example, where upgrades like a glass backsplash, (some) stainless appliances, and nice floor tiles mingle with a weird baby fridge and what looks to be an improvised island on castors — seems like the universe’s way of saying some home seeker with conviction ought to move in, take control, and put his or her own stamp on it, no? As for the rest, there’s common laundry, bike and other storage, and parking with no mention of a wait list.
Open House: Sunday, February 15, 2-3:30pm

2112 Dorchester Road #4G
List Price: $425,000, $258 common charges
Size: Two bedrooms, one bathroom
Details: In contrast to the space above, this unit on the corner of E 21st Street has a really lovely kitchen where the light finishes are accentuated by a nice big window. Unfortunately, the three windows in the large living/dining area don’t seem to be offering much light in the listing photos, but perhaps that’s just owed to a particularly dreary day. Pets are welcome and there’s in-building laundry as well as a shared courtyard, though the mention of a “short hike” up to the fourth floor could be a deal breaker for potential buyers with mobility concerns… or anybody else.
Open House: Sunday, February 15, 2:30-4:30pm

859 E 17th Street
List Price: $1,400,000
Size: Five bedrooms, three bathrooms
Details: This home just below Avenue H has a lot of super details including parquet floors, beamed ceilings, handsome pocket doors, and original staircases… it’s just not all very easy to see in these pictures. What’s apparent is the kitchen could lose that drop ceiling, though we suppose granite countertops are a nice thing to already have upon move-in. Best of all, THIS LISTING FEATURES A LOT OF CAPS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS AND EMPHASIS OF BROOKLYN’S CURRENT HOTNESS, SO THE HOUSE IS PROBABLY REALLY GREAT!
Open House: Sunday, February 15, 2:30-4pm (appointment required)
