This Weekend’s B & Q Subway Changes

There are a couple things to watch out for on the subways over the next several days, including that the Manhattan-bound Q is going to be running express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park throughout the weekend, beginning at 10:45pm Friday to 5am Monday. That and other details via the MTA:

Starting Thursday:

Brighton Beach-bound B trains run local from Prospect Park to Kings Highway
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, October 15-17

Manhattan-bound Q trains run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am to 3pm, Wednesday to Friday, October 15-17
Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Avenue. For service to Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou Road, Beverley Road, and Parkside Avenue, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue, or Prospect Park and transfer to a Brighton Beach-bound B or Coney Island-bound Q. For service form these stations, take the B or Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza or Kings Highway and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q.

Starting Late Friday Night:

Manhattan-bound Q trains run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park
Weekend, 10:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, October 17-20
Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Avenue. For service to Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou Road, Beverley Road, and Parkside Avenue, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q. For service from these stations, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza, or Kings Highway and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q.

Starting Saturday:

Q service is extended to Ditmars Boulevard
Weekends, 7am to 9pm, Saturday, until October 25
Service operates between Brooklyn and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria, Queens.
