Weekend Transit Disruptions: All The Subway Lines Go Switcheroo

Below you’ll find Park Slope subway changes over the weekend on the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, B, D, F, G, N, Q and R lines in Brooklyn. Check back here Monday to see what’s happening next week.

3 Line

No 3 trains running. 2 and 4 train and free shuttle buses provide alternate service.
Weekend, 11:30pm Friday to 5am Monday, July 31-August 3.
Shuttle buses make all 3 train stops between 148th Street and 96th Street. 2 train s make all 3 train stops between 96th Street and Franklin Avenue. 4 trains make all 3 train stops between Nevins Street and New Lots Avenue.
  • Transfer between shuttle buses and 2 trains at 96th Street.
  • Transfer between 2 and 4 trains at Franklin Avenue or Nevins Street.

3 train Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue stations are closed for renovations.
All times, until late September 2015.
Trains skip Rockaway and Van Siclen avenues in both directions.

4 Line

4 train service is extended to New Lots Avenue.
Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 1-2.
4 trains replace the 3 in Brooklyn, making local stops between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Utica Avenue.
4 train Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue stations are closed for renovations.
All times, until late September 2015.
Trains skip Rockaway and Van Siclen avenues in both directions.

D Line

Coney Island-bound D trains run via the N from 36th Street to Stillwell Avenue.
Weekend, 3:45am Saturday to 10pm Sunday, August 1-2.
No Coney Island-bound service at 9th Avenue; Fort Hamilton Parkway; 50th, 55th, 71st, and 79th streets; 18th and 20th avenues; Bay Parkway; 25th Avenue and Bay 50th Street.
Travel Alternatives
For service to 9th Avenue, Fort Hamilton Parkway, and 50th and 55th streets, take the D to New Utrecht Avenue-62nd Street and transfer to a Norwood-bound D.
For service to 71st and 79th streets, 18th and 20th avenues, Bay Parkway, 25th Avenue, and Bay 50th Street, take the D to Stillwell Avenue and transfer to a Norwood-bound D.
For service from these stations, take the D or N to 62nd Street-New Utrecht Avenue or 36th Street and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D.

F Line

Avenue X and Ditmas Avenue F Train Station Closures and Information.
The Manhattan-bound platform at Avenue X is closed for renovation until winter 2015/16.
The Manhattan-bound platform at Ditmas Avenue is closed for renovation until fall 2015.
Travel Alternatives:
Avenue X
For service to this station, take the F to Avenue U and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.
For service from this station, take the F to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.
Ditmas Avenue
For service to this station, take the F to Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.
For service from this station, take the F to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F.

N Line

Coney Island-bound N trains run via the R from Canal Street to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.
Weekend, 6am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday, August 1-2.
Trains stop at City Hall; Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, and Court streets; Jay Street-MetroTech, and DeKalb Avenue.
Please allow additional travel time.

Q Line

57th Street/7th Avenue-bound Q trains run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park.
Weekends, 11:15pm, Friday to 5am Monday, until August 31.
Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Avenue.
For service to Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou Road, Beverley Road and Parkside Avenue, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Avenue or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.
For service from these stations, take the Q to Church Avenue, Newkirk Plaza or Kings Highway and transfer to a 57th Street/7th Avenue-bound Q.

R Line

36th Street-bound R shuttle train stops at 53rd Street and 45th Street.
Late nights, 12:01am, Saturday to 5am, Monday, until August 3.
