Weekend Subway Service Advisories: 3/22 – 3/24/2013
We hope everyone has a terrific weekend, and by terrific, we mean not screwed up by unexpected subway service changes. To make sure you achieve that goal, here are the following changes that you should be aware of:
Q TRAIN
Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway. The change takes effect at 11:15 p.m. tonight and lasts until 5:00 a.m. Monday morning. So those who live at a stop like Avenue J – make sure you cut the Friday night after-work drinks short, or risk having to double back at Kings Highway.F TRAIN
As has been the case for some time, and will continue to be through the first quarter of 2013, F trains skip the Smith-9 St station in both directions. Use bus service to/from 4 Av-9 St or Carroll Street instead.
Oh, but there’s another change, too. From 11:45 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound F trains run express from 34 St-Herald Sq to West 4th Street.
