Weekend Events Recap: What’s Happening Around South Slope

It might be hard to believe, but GoogaMooga, Fabulous 5th Ave, and massive stoop sales are not the only events rocking the neighborhood this weekend:

RedRum Motorcycle Club Spring Book Drive, BBQ and Bike Show
When: Saturday, May 18, from 12pm to 6pm
Where: 1022 39th Street, between 10th Ave and Ft. Hamilton Parkway
What: Bring a children’s book (or 2 or 3) and come support the Sunset Park After School Center.
How much: Admission is $10 with a Children’s book, $20 without a children’s book. All donations are welcome,  and nobody is turned away. For more information, visit the RedRum Motorcycle Club website, or email contact@redrummc.com

Prospect Park Zoo Fleece Festival
When: Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19
Where: Prospect Park Zoo
What: Get ready for “wild and wooly fun” as the Prospect Park Zoo’s sheep get their annual haircut. Look for fun kids activities and special musical guests.
How much: $8 for adults, $6 for seniors 65+, $5 for children 3-12, and FREE for children under 3
