Brooklyn Holiday Book Fair
When: Saturday, December 7, 11am to 5am
Where: Old Stone House, 5th Avenue, between 3rd and 4th Avenue
What: If you’ve got a book fan in your life, don’t miss the second annual holiday book fair, featuring rare, vintage, and out-of-print books from independent book sellers around Brooklyn. As an added bonus, Paul Auster will be on hand reading from Auggie Wren’s Christmas Story at 4pm.
How much: Free

E-Waste Recycling
When: Saturday, December 7, 10am to 4pm
Where: P.S. 321, 7th Avenue, between 1st and 2nd Street
What: Don’t let your old VCR from 1978 continue taking up that valuable closet space. Bring it up to P.S. 321 Saturday for e-waste recycling.
How much: Free

Festive Fifth
When: Saturday, December 7, 3pm
Where: 5th Avenue from between Dean and 18th Streets
What: Come support small business on 5th! Carolers will begin singing up and down the avenue around 3pm, and Santa will ride in a red Triumph sports car between Union and Dean from 3pm to 5pm, making stops to spread Christmas cheer.
How much: Free!

Wine And Meat Party
When: Sunday, December 8, 6pm to 10pm
Where: Applewood, 501 11th Street at 7th Avenue
What: Our friends at Applewood are joining with neighbor Scott Bridi from Brooklyn Cured for a night of snacks, drinks, and neighborhood fun. You can check out the full tasting menu on the Applewood website.
How much: Free to enter, $8 per snack and $8 per drink. No reservations required, but the event is cash only.
