Weekend Crime Blotter: Pumpkin Attack, Subway Lewdness, Nail Salon Thefts And More
SHEEPSHEAD BAY – Police are searching for the man seen in the photo below in connection to a burglary that occurred in the early morning on Halloween.
At approximately 3:40am on Tuesday, October 31, police say the suspect forced his way into a residential building in the vicinity of East 21 Street and Avenue U through the building’s storage room and helped himself to a woman’s jacket. The suspect fled the scene when a resident of the building confronted him.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the 13 male and female suspects seen in the video below in connection to a recent attack on a woman.
Police say at approximately 8:15pm on Saturday, October 28, the group approached a 21- year-old woman on the corner of State and Henry Streets and threw an unknown liquid in her face. The suspects then forced a box over her head and threw a large pumpkin at her back. The victim declined to go to the hospital following the incident, according to police.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the photos below in connection to a recent robbery on the “A” train.
At approximately 9:30pm on Saturday, October 28, police say aboard a southbound “A” train at the Nostrand Avenue station, the suspect punched and kicked a 30-year-old man in the face and head numerous times before grabbing $500 in cash and a cell phone from the victim’s pockets. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, last seen wearing a red vest, black shirt, blue jeans, and his hair in short braids.

SUNSET PARK – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the below photo in connection to a public lewdness incident that occurred on an “N” train late last month.
Onboard a northbound “N” train at approximately 3:35pm on Friday, October 27, police say the man was masturbating while staring at a 16-year-old girl. The suspect exited the subway at the 36th Street station.
Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 30- to 38-years-old and 6′ 0″ tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

BRIGHTON BEACH – Police are searching for the man seen in the below photos in connection to making unauthorized purchases with stolen credit cards.
On October 25, the victim left his wallet inside his car parked on Ocean View Avenue near Brighton 5th Street, a police representative says. When he returned to his car on October 26, the victim said his wallet no longer in the vehicle.
Police say at approximately 6:30pm on Wednesday, October 25, the suspect went on a shopping spree at Target and Century 21, making unauthorized purchases with the victim’s credit cards totaling approximately $4,400.

CROWN HEIGHTS – The NYPD is searching for the two men seen in the below video in connection to a robbery at laundromat last month.
At approximately 7:55pm on Tuesday, October 24, police say the two men went into the King Fang Laundromat located at 112 Kingston Avenue. One of the suspects punched a 22- year-old employee of the laundromat several times. When a 32-year-old male employee came out of the office, one of the suspects began punching and kicking him, demanding access to into the office. The suspects then kicked the door open and grabbed an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the scene.

BED-STUY/PROSPECT HEIGHTS/PARK SLOPE – The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the woman seen in the photos below in connection to a series of robberies targeting customers and employees of nail salons, spas, and Asian-owned businesses throughout the city, including in Bed-Stuy, Prospect Heights, and Park Slope.
The suspect has struck nine times since February, according to police. In June, she stole $36,000 worth of jewelry from Sang Sang Jewelry located on Canal Street in Chinatown, police say. Three businesses in Brooklyn were also targeted.
At approximately 7:30pm on Thursday, August 24, the suspect went into C.L. Nail Salon located at 1457 Fulton Street and posed as a customer. As she was sitting, waiting for service, the suspect reportedly took a woman’s purse and fled the scene. Among the items inside the victim’s purse were $100 in cash and 2 credit cards.
At approximately 7:40pm on Sunday, October 22, the suspect went into Inaka Restaurant located at 597 Vanderbilt Avenue, posed as a customer and asked if her order was ready. When the employee went to check on the order, the suspect stole her cell phone and wallet, which contained two credit cards.
At approximately 8:30pm on Sunday October 22, the suspect went into 5ive Spice Restaurant located at 52 5 Avenue a stole a bag containing $60 in cash, a laptop, and three credit cards.
The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 50-years-old, with glasses and a head wrap. She often carries a black and red Robin Ruth Sky Line tote bag (photo above).

EAST NEW YORK – The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the two suspects seen in the below video in connection to a robbery that occurred over the summer.
According to police, at approximately 11:10am on Wednesday, August 23, a 34-year-old woman was about to enter her car parked in front of 2084 Linden Boulevard (Pawn Rite) when the two suspects approached her and attempted to take a bag she was carrying. When the victim resisted, one of the suspects punched her in the face.
The two suspects did manage to take the bag from the victim and fled the location in a white Nissan sedan. The bag contained assorted jewelry with an estimated value of $100,000, according to police.
The victim suffered pain and bruising from the attack but refused medical attention at the scene.
Police describe the two suspects as follows:
Suspect 1 – black male, last seen wearing all black clothing
Suspect 2 – black male, last seen wearing a gray hoodie, dark clothing, and red shorts.
