Weekend Crime Blotter: Parking Lot Arson, iPhone Robbery, ‘D’ Train Flasher

MILL BASIN – The NYPD is searching for a pair of pyromaniacs who set four fires in a Mill Basin parking lot over the summer.

At approximately 3am on Thursday, July 13 at 6065 Strickland Avenue, 4 fires were intentionally set by two suspects, police say. The fires were sparked in the parking lot of the property which damaged eight buses and an office trailer.

WEST BRIGHTON BEACH – Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the two men seen in the below photos in connection to a robbery that occurred over the summer.

At approximately 2:05pm on Tuesday, August 22, two suspects entered a Metro PCS store located on Brighton Beach Avenue near Brighton 3rd Street, removed two  iPhones on display, and then fled the scene on foot.

Grand larceny suspects via NYPD

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN – Police are searching for the man seen in the below photo in connection to a public lewdness incident that occurred on a “D” train over the summer.

At approximately 4:35am on Friday, August 18, a 44-year-old woman was sleeping aboard a southbound “D” train. When she woke up, she found the suspect in front of her with his genitals exposed. The suspect then exited the train at the DeKalb Avenue subway station.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 30- to 40-years-old with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black jeans, and black shoes.
